Caro Woods MA, is an artist who lives and works in an old Cornish Farmhouse, located in the tiny rural hamlet of Trezelah in West Penwith, Cornwall.  She has exhibited widely throughout Europe and Africa, as well as the UK - including the Channel Islands - and given many illustrated talks on her work.  She has undertaken numerous commissions for artwork, included writing and illustrating assignments for local interest magazines, and the complete illustration of a gardening book with over 80 line drawings.  She has organised and run many print making and ‘colour’ workshops herself, as well as for invited artists; curated numerous exhibitions and judged various art prizes and scholarship awards.  To see Caro's new video work, go to KerstenWoods Productions.

She has taught a wide variety of people with differing abilities.  Her community work has involved working with prison inmates as well as groups of teenagers from challenging backgrounds.  This has strengthened her belief in the therapeutic aspects of art.  She also enjoys running experimental workshops inspired by the local environment, involving practitioners such as: photographers; architects; botanists; geologists; and builders working with traditional materials, doing a variety of things such as painting with earth pigments into fresh lime plaster, or making paper from plant materials. Her more recent workshops have combined art with more ethereal subjects, such as Designing Mandalas for Meditation or Finding Your Healing Colours.
